Your perfect fit

Start with your usual size: our loafers and boots fit true to size. If you wear a whole size, simply choose your regular size. If you usually wear a half size, see “In-between sizes” below.

A bespoke fit

Our shoes are made from the softest leathers and suedes, with constructions designed for the highest level of comfort. As you wear them, they mould to the shape of your feet. A pair should feel snug at first, and within a few moments of wear it becomes your own bespoke fit.

Go up to the nearest whole size
This includes Grand, Capital, Black Tie, Boots and Trainers. These are more structured, so they give less and need a little room from the start. Go up to the nearest whole size for the optimal fit. If the larger size feels roomy, add the extra insole that comes with every pair.

Go down to the nearest whole size
These are fully unlined or softly lined, so the leather eases across the width and moulds to your foot. Starting snug gives you the right fit after a few moments of wear. Go down to the nearest whole size for the optimal fit.

Complimentary extra cushioned insoles

Every single pair comes with a complimentary extra insole: full-length leather, padded with memory foam at the heel and forefoot. Placed on top of the existing insole, it takes up roughly half a size of room, so you can simply fine-tune the fit at home if needed, depending on the weather.
  • When to use it: if your heel lifts as you walk, or the shoe feels roomy over the top of your foot.
  • How to fit it: simply insert the extra insole, on top of the existing insole, and smooth it flat with your hand.
  • What it can’t do: it fills space but doesn’t shorten the shoe. If your toes touch the end, you need the next size up.

How your perfect pair should feel

  • Snug across the widest part of your foot, like a glove. Unlined suede and leather ease a little across the width within a few moments of wear. The length never changes.
  • Your heel stays in place. A little movement is normal in new shoes, as the shoe will shape towards the unique profile of your feet. If your heel slips out fully, add the extra insole.
  • Try them indoors, on a soft floor, with the socks you plan to wear.

Each pair is hand-lasted and stretched for a glove-like fit. Our soft leathers then mould to the shape of your foot, so a pair that starts snug becomes entirely your own. The perfect fit is snug yet unconstrained.

Adapt to your width

Our unlined construction gives just enough to shape itself to your foot, so one width suits most feet, from narrow to wide. If your feet are extra wide, take the larger size when you’re between sizes.

Cork and memory foam in the insole shape themselves to your arch, giving the same support to low and high insteps alike, and everything in between.

GLOVE CALF SUEDE
This suede is made using calf leather which is specially selected and developed by our Italian tannery in Tuscany. It undergoes a natural tanning technique which gives it a unique velvety sheen and sophisticated look. This suede wears remarkably well and will withstand also rain provided you follow our care guidelines.

Care
After any use always allow the shoes to dry at room temperature, away from any direct heat source. If your shoes have got wet you may roll-up some paper and insert it inside the shoes. If you have dirt or mud on your suede shoes, make sure they are completely dry before gently brushing it off with a rubber brush for suede or with a hard bristle brush being careful to brush only in one direction from the back of the shoe towards the tip.

We offer free exchanges or returns in case you are not fully satisfied with your purchase. 

To initiate the process, contact contact@baudoinlange.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Items must be returned in unworn condition with original packaging. Refunds appear within 5 working days of receiving returned goods. Note that duties and/or taxes cannot be refunded.

To ensure fair use of our returns service, a restocking fee applies where three (3) pairs or more are returned from a single online order. In such cases, Baudoin & Lange may deduct a fee equal to 15% of the total order value from the refund to cover handling, shipping, duties, and processing costs. This will always be clearly reflected in the final refund confirmation.

Exclusions: Customised and sale products are not eligible for exchanges or returns.
